Caps Off

Written by, Isobella Rossiter, Jessica McGough-Shiels, Amy Aspinall and Mehmet Sutmen

Are you ready to pop your ‘Caps Off’? For one final night join Lauren and her girls, and Chris and his boys in their graduation extravaganza. With secrets and jealousy everywhere, Lauren is feeling lost and confused. What comes next? Will she play it safe or will she pick the girl who’s been there since she learned how to tie her laces? As the drinks flow, and the prosecco is about to bubble over, the bottle caps will burst off as the truth begins to come out.

Taking inspiration from Willy Russell’s ‘Stags and Hens’ and the comedic style of John Godber, this production will immerse you in the party of a lifetime, a night of romance, celebrations and conflict.

So, grab a drink and come on up to the most exclusive night out of 2024. Be prepared to get involved in making this the best night ever. After all we only graduate once, right? (Unless you’re like Charlotte and have to resit multiple times.)

A message from the cast

"Our journey began last summer. As three University students from Liverpool, we got talking about Scouse representation in television and on stage. This was where we first talked about one day creating a show that captured the essence of Liverpool. Our idea later came to fruition when the opportunity arose to participate in the Uproar festival. With a good team of like-minded people, and Inspiration from the likes of Willy Russell and John Godber, we crafted ‘Caps Off’ - a spirited celebration of our city, filled with laughter, music and multirole performance.
